Geo Cities and Tripod are probably the most popular hosting networks out there. The good news is they can grow with you as your site does.
They also have software to help you get started designing your site. When your done, write to other Transgender Sites and ask them to link to you. You of course though have to provide the same courtesy to them. Remember since your hosting is free and you don't have your own domain name many search engines won't list your site.
