You could buy some of your own.

Yeah, I'm FTM, so I suppose it's easier, girls wear guys clothes all the time, right? But my mom still insisted that it wasn't necessary that I wear "Boy's Pants" when I wanted to buy them. (She even said it like it was a toxic disease. "You don't have to get BOY'S Pants! We'll just find a loose girl's pair if yours are too tight!" Ha, as if! I got my dad to buy them for me, score! But I digress, yet again)
Do you have any friends that are girls? Maybe you could say that you were buying them a present for their birthday or something.

Hi Melanie:
I remember back in high school I heard about the biggest macho man on campus who bought pantyhose one time at the local store - for his girlfriend.
I guess that is just one way of trying to prove how macho you are.
I've picked up pantyhose for my girlfriends, I've bought pantyhose for myself.
People are always being strange stuff. The important thing is not to feel strange. It's not like anybody is going to ask for an ID to buy something besides alcohol, cigs, etc.
So just go in and buy whatever you want. I wouldn't advise doing the "schtick" of buying twelve things, only one of which you want.
At the very least, you'll end of buying a bunch of junk you don't need. If you don't make a big deal of it, nobody else will either.
Just go to the cashier with your pantyhose and your quart of brake fluid and dare them to say what you're going to do with it all!
Chin up, go forth and buy!
Z.

same here I used to ask my mom if I could have a sister when I was little I was constantly asking her it

I have spent nearly all my life dressing up in my moms clothes and no offense to her but her style needs seriously updating

I got my own clothes and high heels/boots now so its a bit better but I know if I had a older sister would be easier instead I was lumped with a older brother whose macho male *sigh*. I don't like my moms clothes but I respect her individuality.

i wish i had an older sister too..my moms clothes don't even fit me tho...i often go around clothing stores and wishing i could wear the latest style from hollister or something fun and cute...i could never bring myself to do it, but i have gone into the thrift store and looked through girl pants just couldn't find any i liked that were my size...someday when i have my own place and no room mate, hopefully i'll own some of my own clothes, but for now i just have some girl pants and a jacket or two

What I did the first time I went into a Walmart to buy an outfit: Acted like I was talking to a girlfriend on a cellphone when i got any kind of O.O type looks. That way I could at least make others think I was buying for someone else. <.<; Now I am at the point to where if I can get out of my dorm (its an alll male dorm - no way in heck I am leaving my room dressed as a girl) and dress some where else, I will go shopping just fine =) I am just incredibly shy when it comes to my voice. So I try to keep my mouth shut around public places.

I got lucky. Four months ago my older sis decided to go over to Britain for a couple of years and all her things got stored at my place. She is the same size as me and she left SO many clothes here.

I remember when I was the same sizes as my sister. *sigh*
I can still just barely make do, now. I need to get shopping sometime soon. Unfortunately, it's either a single piece of clothing or driving myself to and from school for a week and a half. So any significant wardrobe additions would mean having to stay at my homophobic, all-male school for half an hour to two hours every night, waiting for my dad to pick me up. I'll go home, thanks.
On the plus side, my sister's at college, so I've acquired some new, albeit too small, items.
